22 CONSTANZA
The brief called for a Mediterranean design that felt familiar in spirit, but not literal in expression. The approach was therefore less about recreating a specific geography and more about capturing the atmosphere of the region: warmth, tactility, ease and a strong relationship between colour, light and form. Traditional elements were simplified and reworked within a contemporary design language, allowing the space to feel rooted in Mediterranean influences while remaining fresh, refined and distinctly its own.
The arch as a design element became the grammar of the space — a soft, generous geometry that slows people down as they walk in. Curved openings, illuminated niches and rounded furniture soften the long geometry of the dining room, creating a rhythm that feels both geometric and relaxed. Cane, timber, marble and leather introduce a tactile layer, allowing the space to feel refined without becoming overly formal.
The palette is deliberately sun-washed. Terracotta ceilings hold the room together overhead, while off-white walls and speckled stone flooring keep the eye calm at ground level. The lighting is soft and intimate, while the artwork and sculptural details add a sense of personality, tying up the space together.
